How can I add an email into Daylite using the Daylite Mail Assistant?
When you launch Mail and select an email, the Daylite Mail Assistant panel at the right side of the Mail window displays options for linking and recording the email in Daylite.
To add a new email message in Daylite, select the email and click the "Add to Daylite" button.
Once added, a token having the subject of the email as its title is displayed in orange colour to confirm that the email exists in Daylite.
You can also link contacts, objectives, tasks, and events to the email.
If you delete an email from Apple Mail, it will still be fully visible and accessible in Daylite as long as it was previously added to the database through the Daylite Mail Assistant. Daylite stores a copy of all linked emails in the database. The only limitation would be that you would no longer be able to view this content in Mail through the "Show in Mail" button, as the email would no longer be available in Apple Mail.
To see the emails that were linked using the Daylite Mail Assistant in Daylite, click the "Notes & Email" icon on the left-hand side and click on “My DMI Emails”.
The number beside "MESSAGE" is shown when the email you are trying to link is part of a thread. It allows the user to be able to tell which specific email is being linked.
