What Can I Do With Contact Sharing?

With contact sharing, you can share your Daylite contacts with Apple’s Contacts app on your iPhone or iPad. This allows you to:

• Make calls using Siri.
• View contact information using Caller ID.

When sharing your contacts a new contact list is created in your Contacts app. Note that this list does not sync with other contact services, such as iCloud or Google Contacts.

Contact sharing is configured per user and per device. Setting up CardDAV on one device does not automatically apply it to other devices or users. To ensure full access, set up contact sharing on each Mac, iPhone, and iPad individually.

Contacts On The iPhone & iPad

Follow the steps below to add your Daylite contacts to the iPhone's and iPad's Contacts application.

Install a Contacts Profile

1. Open the Daylite App on your iPhone or iPad
2. Within Daylite, tap All.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Settings > Contacts
4. Tap Install Contacts Profile

5. You will be brought to the Safari browser to confirm. Tap Allow

   

   

6. Go to your device's Settings app and tap on Profile Downloaded or More for your iPhone. 
7. Review the profile and tap Install
8. Enter your iPhone passcode and then complete the profile installation

Make Daylite Your Default Contact List

1. Open iOS Settings
2. Go to Apps > Contacts
3. Tap Default Account
4. Select your Daylite Account

Contacts On The Mac

Install Contacts Profile

1. Open Daylite on your Mac
2. Go to Daylite > Settings > Contact Integration
3. Click Install Contacts Profile button
4. Click Ok when the notification appears
5. Choose Apple () > System Settings
6. Click General > Device Management
7. Double click on the Daylite profile
8. Click Install

Confirm the Daylite Profile is Active

1. Choose Apple > System Settings > Privacy & Security
2. Choose Contacts
3. Confirm Daylite is on

Make Daylite Your Default Contact List

1. Open Contacts and choose Contacts > Settings > General
2. Select your Daylite Account from Default Account menu

Cloud Sharing: Other Applications

You can share Daylite appointments with applications that support CardDAV by using the correct server settings. Since each application has its own configuration format, refer to the application’s documentation for specific setup instructions.

To set up sharing:

1. Log in to Account Manager.
2. Choose  Integrations and scroll to the Calendar and Contact Integration section.
3. Click + New App Login.
4. Enter the name of the application or person you want to share your contacts with, then click Generate.

Use the generated username, password, and server address to share your contacts. If a port setting is required, use port 443 and turn on SSL.

Troubleshooting Contact Sharing

If you're experiencing issues sharing contacts:

• Ensure your Account Admin has enabled DAV sharing. They can do this by:
  1. Going to Daylite > Preferences > Users & Teams.
  2. Selecting Users > Your Name.
  3. Clicking the Advanced button.
  4. Checking the Share and sync data with other applications option.
