Exporting your Daylite Calendar to Apple iCal

You can export your Daylite Calendar as a .ics file and import it into the Apple Calendar app. This is helpful if you want to view your Daylite calendar in Apple Calendar temporarily or as a complete calendar.

To export your Daylite calendar to Apple Calendar, follow these steps:

  1. Choose File > Export > Export Calendar to Apple iCal. The "Export to Apple iCal File Format" window opens.
  2. Choose the date range for your export:

    a. To export the entire calendar, select All Dates.

    b. To export a specific period, set the start and end dates.

  3. By default, the calendar is exported to your desktop. To save it elsewhere, click Browse, select a location, and click Open.
  4. To export each appointment category as a separate calendar, select the Export each category as a separate calendar checkbox.
  5. Click Export.

Daylite saves your calendar as a .ics file in the location you specified. If you chose to export categories separately, Daylite saves each category as an individual file.

To view your exported calendar in Apple Calendar:

  1. Double-click the .ics file.
  2. When prompted to choose a destination calendar, select one:
    • New Calendar if you want the Daylite category name to match.
    • An existing calendar if you’re merging the data.

If you did not export categories separately, the default file name is "Daylite Calendar.ics." Open the file by double-clicking, then select a destination calendar in Apple Calendar to view your appointments.
