How to add a Gmail Account to Daylite Mail for iPhone & iPad

To add a Gmail account, you’ll need to generate an app-specific password, which is different from the one you use to sign in to Gmail. This app-specific password enhances the security of your Google account when adding it to a third-party app.

Create an App-Specific Login for Daylite Mail

Go to App Passwords in your Google Account to create your app-specific login for Daylite Mail. 

1. Log into your Google Account
2. Name your app-specific login to such as  Daylite Mail
3. Copy App-Specific Password

Please Note: Two-factor authentication (2FA) must be turned on for your Gmail account before you can generate an app-specific password. If 2FA is currently disabled on your Google account, please follow Google’s step-by-step instructions on how to enable it here

Adding App Specific Login for Daylite Mail

1. Open Daylite
2. Tap My Mail > Add An Account and select Google
3. Enter your email address and App-specific password
4. Tap Next
5. Name the account and tap Save
