If manually updating Daylite, please make sure your current copy of Daylite is not running before following the steps below.

1. Visit our downloads page and download the latest version of Daylite.
2. Once the download has finished, open Finder and go to your Downloads folder.
3. In your downloads folder, unzip the latest-daylite.zip file by double-clicking on it.
   

   (Depending on your browser, you might be able to skip this step as it auto unzips.)

   
   
   
   
   
4. Once unzipped, drag and drop Daylite.app into your Applications folder on the finder's left-hand sidebar.
   (If manually updating, click replace on the prompt that pops up)
   
   
   
   
5. Navigate to your Applications folder and Open Daylite.
   
   
   
   
6. Once opened, you will receive a prompt to log in, enter your login information and wait for your database to download.
   (If manually updating, you should not have to log in, it should open directly into your database.)

Welcome to our help article on how to resolve the most common Daylite Helper errors. Daylite Helper errors can be the root cause of a number of syncing issues and crashing on launch problems.

In this tutorial, we will provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to solve most cases of these Daylite Helper issues such as: Cannot Connect To Daylite Helper, Cannot Launch Daylite Helper, Incorrect Version Of Daylite Helper, and Daylite Helper Cannot Run.

Symptom:

The error messages below are usually seen when Daylite is installed incorrectly, named incorrectly, or if multiple Daylite.app's exist on your device and should all be able to be remedied using the same steps we included below.

Cannot Connect to Daylite Helper.	Cannot launch Daylite Helper.

Incorrect version of Daylite Helper.	Daylite Helper cannot run.

Solution:

1. Quit Daylite (If Open)
2. Quit Mail (If Open)
3. Open Finder
4. Search for Daylite
5. Click on "This Mac"
6. Delete any Daylite applications and zips you might have on your device.
7. Download the latest version of Daylite from this link: https://www.marketcircle.com/downloads/latest-daylite
8. Navigate to your Downloads folder
9. Double click on the .zip to extract the Daylite.app from the .zip file (If using safari it should auto unzip)
10. Drag the Daylite.app from your downloads folder into the /Applications folder
11. Restart your device
12. Open Daylite

Symptom

The following sync error below can occur due to a number of different reasons, such as:

1. Time Machine restore
2. Migration Assistant
3. Deletion of all Keychain items from Apple's Keychain application

Solution

Please follow along with the steps below to add a new Daylite Cloud login. If you experience any issues along the way, please review our video demonstration here to help as a guide:

1. Quit Daylite (if running).
2. Press and hold down the Shift+Option+Command buttons on the keyboard and then launch Daylite. Hold those buttons down until the Daylite login screen appears.
3. Then click on the drop-down box listed below "Log in to Daylite Cloud" and select "Add Cloud login".
4. Then enter in your Daylite email address and password and click Log In.
5. Once done, attempt to perform a manual sync, by going to File ==> Sync

The choice to have Daylite be a native app has its advantages. Better performance, offline access, and integration with Apple Systems. However, as with every choice, there are trade-offs.

In the past, our policy has been to support the three most current OS. On the surface, this policy made sense. Many businesses could continue to use Daylite after a macOS update, but this policy has sometimes done more harm than good. Each year Apple adds new capabilities to help you do more. To achieve this, they remove the old code while adding new, better technology without looking back. Supporting Daylite on older operating systems has added bloat, making Daylite complex to support and slow to develop. Maintaining old code creates new bugs, and keeps us from being able to add new features to Daylite fast enough, the features you’ve asked to be added. 

This year, with the introduction of macOS 13 (Ventura) and its many new capabilities, we had an important decision to make. We want to provide you with a first-class app but we found that supporting macOS 10.14, 10.15, and 11.0 would create more of the same problems. 

With all this in mind, giving you the best experience, modern features, fewer bugs, and faster development, we’ve decided to drop macOS 10.15. Customers running macOS 10.15 and using Daylite version 2022.33 or later l sync after Oct 31st, 2022. However, users will no longer receive updates for bugs access to new features, and may not receive technical support.

We strongly recommend that customers upgrade to macOS 11. 

Why is this problem occurring

This is currently a known Bug where if you have a Client(s) added via the Contacts Application and have Timers running.

Solution

The workaround for this is to do the following:

• Launch System Preferences > select Security & Privacy > select Privacy.
• Select Contacts from the list > uncheck Billings Pro.app in the list.
