With Daylite you can merge letter templates using 3rd party applications, such as Pages, Word, Numbers and Excel, allowing you to create standardized letters or documents you can send to your clients or team.
For letter templates without complex formatting and graphics (e. g. for e-mails), we suggest creating them directly in Daylite. However, an external program such as Pages or Word is recommended for embedding letterheads and graphics, as well as for greater design freedom when formatting rich text.
To use the templates created in an external program, follow these steps:
- From the to menu, choose Edit and select Merge—>Document from another program.
- In the following dialog box, specify the program you’re using, select your template, destination to store the merged document and the file name.
- Select Open in Editor and click to Merge. The created document will now be displayed in the editor.
