This version of Daylite fixes an issue for Daylite Cloud only, where Daylite on your Mac could go into a state that would not allow any further syncing to occur. You may have experienced it before, and the message you would have seen is:
“Daylite has encountered a critical sync error and assistance from Marketcircle is required to resolve the problem”.
It would have required you to reach out to us for additional review, which could have meant downtime on your part. It also could have meant potential data loss and the manual re-entering of data that had not synced.
Given the complexity and impact of this issue, our engineering team have been pouring a great deal of time into this among a growing list of other feature enhancements and improvements.
We’re glad to let you know this release contains implementations to prevent the ‘Sync Rewind Error’ issue from happening.
To get the fix, you just need to install Daylite version 6.6.5 or higher on any Mac you use Daylite on that runs macOS 10.12.x or higher. Just by having this version installed, your Mac should be protected against this error occurring - so install it on all your Macs!
