Appointments that are added via CalDAV appear grey instead of the default category colour in Daylite?

Why is this problem occurring

When you have the sharing option set to one calendar in Daylite, it groups all of the appointments in one calendar in the Calendar application called “Daylite”. When you add a new appointment in the Calendar application there isn’t a specific category you can select so when the appointment syncs back into Daylite the category will be none.

Solution

Set the Calendar Sharing option in Daylite to “Separate Calendars for each category”. In the Calendar application, you will see all the categories listed for Appointments in the sidebar. To add a new appointment, you can select a category from the sidebar and then create a new appointment. When the appointment syncs back into Daylite, it will show the correct category.
