When trying to add a subscribed calendar in Daylite you see a message that says:
Please add CalDAV accounts to Mac OSX first
You can add accounts in iCal or in System Preferences's "Mail, Contacts, & Calendars" preference pane.
Why is this happening?
Apple's privacy and security settings prevent apps from accessing Calendar unless they have permission.
To give Daylite permissions you must first add the calendar to Internet Accounts in the macOS System Preferences, then give Daylite permission to access that calendar.
To give Daylite permission to access your subscribed calendar, follow the steps below:
- Quit Daylite
- Click the Apple menu in the top left, then select System Preferences
- Choose Security & Privacy > Privacy then click Calendars
- Select the Daylite checkbox then close System Preferences
- Open Daylite and add your subscribed calendar.
